KIDS Adoptee Symposium June 17th & 18th
Registration is now open! You don’t have to be a KIDS member to attend this great event, just an interested party…we welcome teen and adult adoptees, their families, parents & friends – there will be items of interest for all ages! Space is limited, so don’t delay in registering!
Come listen to adult Korean adoptee speakers from the United States and Europe share their insight and knowledge about their struggles, successes and coming to terms with identity. Highlights include a private screening of “Twinsters”, including a Q&A with the Director & Artist, Samantha Futerman, and a performance by internet music sensation JunCurryAhn, along with some tasty Korean food! Both days of this symposium will be held at the Escala Condominiums, 1920 4th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101 (one block north of Macy’s). There are many parking options around Escala with the easiest being the parking garage on the west side of 4th Avenue above Bed Bath & Beyond (between 3rd & 4th Avenues).
Cost is $50 for the two day symposium ($30 for children ages 5-12). Children under 5 are free. If you can only attend one of the days, Friday will be $25 ($15 for kids) and Saturday will be $35 ($20 for kids). Checks should be made payable to KIDS and mailed to 1920 4th Ave Unit 1405, Seattle, WA 98101. If you want to pay by credit card or Paypal you can use Jackie Holm’s Paypal account at firstname.lastname@example.org (as KIDS doesn’t have a Paypal account for this one-time activity). If you don’t have a Paypal account (or still want to pay by credit card), please email Jackie at the same email address. Payment through Paypal will be slightly higher than payment by check ($54 for both days, $27 Friday only, $37 Saturday only – children $32, $16, $21, respectively).
