Korean Culture Camp 2014: June 23rd – June 27th

Hello Campers, Teens, and Families!

We are excited to announce this year’s Korean Culture Camp will be a full week, June 23rd – June 27th! There will also be a presentation provided by the teens for their families on the late afternoon of Friday, June 27 AND a special meal and professional music program as well after getting back from Whidbey Island!

We have many great events and activities planned for teens this year during camp, including a special guest performance from Beatburger, who are a famous electronic dance music (EDM) live team from Korea. Their DJ, Jaewon Shim, is the performance director at SM Entertainment and has choreographed for the top KPOP artists Girls Generation, Super Junior, F(x), DBSK, Exo and BoA.  They will be attending several days at Camp Casey, and will help lead several activities and share their experiences of Korean Pop Culture with the teens.  Along with two other SM Entertainment dancers and their guitarist, Beatburger will put on an unforgettable performance for the teens during camp!

This year’s camp will be run by Jackie Holm, with the assistance of Aaron James, and we have a great group of adult adoptee counselors, who have chosen to volunteer and donate their time and travel to help out. Many of these counselors have been a counselor at KIDS camp in the past, or were counselors at other adoptee camps. With all the exciting things we have planned for camp this year, we have decided to lower the age requirements for the teen camp.  Teen Camp will be extended to those entering 6th grade and up in the fall of 2014, ages 11 ½ – 18.

You won’t want your kids to miss out! So don’t hesitate to  register as spots for camp will fill up fast! Please click this link for 2014 camp registration

Unfortunately, due to low numbers of camp registrants, we will not be holding KIDS Korean Culture Camp this year. But in lieu of camp, we are in the midst of holding a different event. If you have more questions about it, please email us at kidsorg1985@gmail.com. Thank you.
